Decepticon Scarf

Oh geez, you guys make me blush. You're all so nice. I wish I could thank each and everyone of you personally, but I'm afraid dA will slap my hand and say "NO! You're spamming!" So I'll say it here. Thank each and everyone of you who has faved this. This hug is for you.

THIS! OMG this, the biggest project I've done so far. It's a giant tube, and let me tell you, having to do the extra back side to hide the icky looking inside is a lot more work than it seems. This scarf probably took me a little over 2 weeks or almost constant knitting all day every day. (I had a lot of free time on my hands that I spent being a lazy ass infront of the TV, which explains the speedy knitting) I went through almost 2 whole balls of white yarn to make this baby.

After I discovered I really love knitting I came across the picture in my favorites and knew I had to knit the scarf. Since I'm not much of a scarf person, I knew if I made it for myself I'd never wear it, so I asked Starhorse if she would like it and she did. Now she has it and is eagerly awaiting winter so she can wear it.

I know I know you're all shouting "Shut up and take my money!" at your computer screen while bouncing wads of cash off it by now, but as much as I loved making this scarf I'm still on the fence about it. *The-Starhorse has given her blessings for me to reproduce the scarf from her design. I'm just a little unsure about setting up an Etsy store for a handful of reasons that are all kind of silly, but they still make me hesitate. Oh well.

I am also capable of knitting other, non-Transformers related objects, so if you are interested in buying something shoot me a note. Heck, I'll even trade you, I just love knitting things for other people.

And other knitters and Transformer fans out there, I'm not gonna go all ballistic on your ass if you take this design. First off, it's not mine, *The-Starhorse created the design so you'd be stealing from her. Secondly, if you want to knit this for yourself or a friend and you would like the pattern I used, send me a note I'll share, I'd be happy to share. Just please don't go and make money off of this. *The-Starhorse spent her time making the design and I spent countless hours putting it into reality (You don't wanna know how many designs and patterns I went through to try and perfect the Decepticon symbol before I just had to make my own pattern and then how many practice swatches I did to get the technique down to do the pattern) and I'd like to be able to claim that I made the original and sort of kinda hold the rights to sell the scarf if I choose. So don't be that person who goes "Ooo cool! Imma make it and sell it" that's just a little low, don't you think?
